The JDR Stars goalkeeper will not have a lot to guard against on Sunday when he marries his lifetime sweetheart Ndivhuwo Thovhakale.

The 29-year-old GladAfrica Championship well-travelled star will tie the knot at the Christian Healing Centre in Meadowlands, Zone-4 in Soweto on Sunday.

He proudly says that he has been together with his soon-to-be wife for years, “even before I started playing professional football”.

The former Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Polokwane City goalkeeper says he’s thoroughly thought about it (wedding) and “we knew that it is time to be wife and husband”.

“She (Ndivhuwo) has been there for me all the time,” he said.

“She’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. I thank God all the time for bringing her into my life. I love her, and I can’t wait for Sunday,” he made a vow.

The on-form JDR player, currently leading the pack, are travelling to Free State Stars in their next league encounter at Goble Park on Saturday (3:30pm).

However, despite his wedding on Sunday, the happy Manavhela revealed to SunSport that he will be travelling with the team.

“We have people who are preparing the wedding with my wife-to-be,” he explained.

“I love football, and I want to be part of the team that will be fighting for three points at Stars. But I will be back home on Saturday after the game.”

The Venda-born goalie said JDR chairman and coach Nditsheni Nemasisi, and the rest of the team, will attend his wedding on Sunday.

Other invited guests who confirmed their attendance are Kaizer Chiefs star and Manavhela’s cousin, Phathutshedzo Nange, and his AmaKhosi teamamate Itumeleng Khune.
